Venue History - Linking the traditional with the modern, the Frankfurt exhibition grounds offers every imaginable facility for many different event and trade fair concepts.  More than 578,000 sqm, 321,700 sqm of which in the exhibition halls and another 83,000 sqm in the open air, means that this is the area covered by the third largest trade fair complex in the world.  Part of a series of Fairgrounds across Germany, Messe Frankfurt caters for the larger shows, including the Frankfurt Book Fair (Frankfurter BuchMesse).
